Jamdani is  one the  historic  finest muslin textiles of Bangladesh.It has a long history .British colonial period Jamdani production had control and patronized Mugol Emperors and it has highly expensive saree in British colonism.That time the bengali jamdani and mulin production industries were rapidly declined due to the colonial hardship policy and favouring the textile import policy.In recent years the government has take some initiated to increase the production of jamdani production. 

The traditional weaving of jamdani in Narayanganj (Noapara).

Jamdani traditional art weaving has been declared "UNESCO" as a intangible cultural heritage . That time jamdani was traditional was popularly known as a Dhakai jamdani.

The traditional art weaving jamdani are still production in various district in Bangladesh . Specially  in Narayanganj .

Jamdani is a hand loom woven fabric made of cotton.It has been spoken of as the most artistic textile of the bangladeh,

Jamdani hat at Demra(beside baoani high school and college)  are sit on every friday at 5.00PM to 7.00 PM.But if we want to buy genuine jamdani on this hat we cant to buy this  because some middle corrupt man  are frauding people on this Hat.
